If you like the atmosphere in a New England House, then you have a sense of what it is like to spend a holiday in "The Guesthouse", both in terms of decor and surroundings. If you also want to have part of the service that meets the guests in a small hotel, then it is possible to purchase to the extent you want, via "Cottage de Luxe". See later.

In a Guesthouse you must have a Guestbook. Ours is on paper and is available to those guests who may wish to share how the stay has been for them. Some of these greetings - in Danish and English - are inserted at the bottom of the picture section.
We think the guests' experience of living in the Guesthouse are the best to share with those who are considering visiting us.

House and garden
The house is located at the end of a cul-de-sac, in a quiet area and is, with its location, a perfect base for experiencing North Zealand, with only 1 hour by car to Copenhagen.
The house is suitable for both a relaxed holiday for the small family and an extended weekend for a group of friends. All year round.

The house is located in a combination of a flower and nature garden with a small lake and an exciting wildlife. Here you meet ducks, blish hens, summer birds, deer, herons and a very rich bird life. There is virtually no traffic noise and with the wind in the right direction, one can sit on one of the terraces and enjoy the sound of the sea.
Should the weather not be for a stay outdoors, or do you come in the autumn or winter, then there is plenty of space inside the house, both to be together, but also to retire for yourself, in between.
The house is of course equipped with Internet and TV, with several international stations - and there are several different board games.
If you have your own music with you on a telephone, it can be played on a SONOS speaker.

The surroundings
Gilleleje is called the "spearhead" in the area that has been designated to be "The Danish Riviera". This makes Gilleleje the perfect starting point for (almost) all sports genes related to water. In addition, the area offers many scenic trips for cycling enthusiasts and hikers.
A little further away, but only 30 minutes by car, are Elsinore and HIlleroed with cultural offers and cultural activities all year round and for all ages.
On the whole, North Zealand is full of cultural offerings, where you have to get up early to achieve it all, in a (normally) short holiday.

The area where the house is located is just outside Gilleleje in "Tinkerup" - one of the oldest holiday home areas on the North Coast. Therefore, the trees are tall and old and the houses are very different, owned by a combination of Copenhageners who mostly come in the summer season, but also a few who live here all year round. It makes the area feel "alive" - ​​all year round.

With "The Guesthouse" as a base to experience North Zealand, it is good to have a car available - there is a carport to the house. However, it is not far to public transport (bus) which has a stop on the main road, only 200 m from the house. From here you can quickly get to Gilleleje Station, from where there are trains to Elsinore, Hillerød and from there to Copenhagen.

We have chosen to make cleaning of the house mandatory, in the desire to be able to ensure all our guests that they come to a house that has been cleaned according to all the guidelines, for cleaning of rental houses - especially with a focus on areas essential in a time with Corona.
For your convenience, we offer delivery of linen, towels and tea towels / dishcloths - and we make sure the beds are made before you arrive - as well as removing used linen when you leave, while we clean the house. Further, in this house, you don't have to bring your own duvets and pillows - we take pride in ensuring the linen for your disposal, is clean.
Finally, if you need a high chair, this is free of charge. We want to ensure chairs in the house for alle ages and sizes.

Cottage de Luxe
You may decide to buy services for this house - called "Cottage de Luxe".
This means that in addition to the usual check-up of the cottage, before the arrival of a new tenant, the house is ready to receive the guests in a way so they feel very welcome.
All beds to be used are ready with quality bedding, which together with towels and bathrobes and final cleaning, form the basis of the delivery in Cottage de Luxe.
In addition, it is possible to order food and drinks for the first evening from a seasonal menu, as well as breakfast for the first morning in the house. Everything is ready on arrival.
Finally, it is possible to purchase a number of services i.e. extra cleaning during the stay, change of bed linen / towels and delivery of meals on selected days. A you have your own private "concierge" to contact for any kind of need of help, during your stay.
