For beach lovers, the stunning Alentejo coast is only 22 km away. Public transportation is conveniently accessible within 4.5 km if you wish to leave the car behind.

Your pets are welcome to join the adventure! The open fields and quiet forest paths around the estate are ideal for long walks and exploration with your furry companion. Several pet-friendly beaches near Vila Nova de Milfontes offer tail-wagging fun along the coast. After a day outdoors, relax in the garden or fire up the BBQ for a tranquil dinner under the stars.

The place (Casa da Adega) is not served with telephone lines, but most of the time indoors and outdoors a mobile phone can be used. Close to the house there is a small tank which used to serve in old times as a water reservoir for irrigation of the meadow, and that suits today as a recreation tank. The water is drinkable, comes straight from the bore hole, with no filters, and its allways renovating it self. In summer time, the mosquitoes 'attack' generally early in the morning, and also in the evening before dark. In winter time can be very cold in the morning because of the frost, but becomes normal again as the hours go by. The roads that lead to Casa da Adega, are country roads (earth roads), so city cars should drive slowly. From 'Casa da Adega' one can go to the River Mira (15 minutes walk) and take a swim there, or have a 20 minutes drive to the closest Dam 'Barragem de Campilhas', where, among other things, it is possible to practice water skiing. The other closest Dam is 'Barragem de Sta Clara', 55km distant from Casa da Adega. The Touristic Village by the sea, Vila Nova de Milfontes, along with all the wonderfull beaches, distant 22km from Casa da Adega. Cross country can be made, right from Casa da Adega and there are also two bycicles available. Breakfasts are not served in Casa da Adega, but a welcoming kit will be provided on the day of the arrival and for the first impact with the house and with the place, together with general information about the near by services, like restaurants, supermarkets, places to visit, etc.
