THE AREA:
The summer house area is located about 10 km south of the charming market town of Sæby. An ideal holiday destination for those who want to stay in peaceful surroundings by the beach and yet close to activities and attractions.
In Sæby, there is a cozy, intimate, and maritime atmosphere with many shops and eateries both in the pedestrian streets and at the harbor. The town has a rich arts and crafts scene in the old town, with a wide selection of shops and working workshops featuring Danish craftsmanship. On the outskirts of Sæby, there is a beautiful 18-hole golf course and Sæbygaard Castle, which is also worth a visit.
Frederikshavn is located a bit north of Sæby, with Denmark's only palm beach (in the summer months), Bangsbo Botanical Garden, and the Powder Tower. If you continue north to Skagen, you can experience the environment of the Skagen painters up close, as well as Grenen, where the two seas meet, which is also must-see.
