Within a radius of less than 100 km you can discover The Eternal City of Rome, the Roman sea and its beaches, the ancient Abbey of Farfa, the highlight of the area, with its Museum and a magnificent library, which contains more than 60.000 volumes and original manuscripts, including one of the first books ever printed, or visit the biggest olive tree in Europe more than 2000 years old in Canneto, or you can drive to Marmore to admire the “Cascate delle Marmore”, the highest waterfalls in Europe. Not very far, in the Tuscia district, discover Etruscan necropolis, tombs, Roman amphitheatres and many places of interest, such as Civita Castellana, Tuscania and Viterbo. This territory from where the ancient Romans took their brides in the legendary: ”Rape of the Sabine women”, is still authentic and untouched by mass tourism.
