Holiday home in Montecastelli Pisano

This agriturismo is in a characteristic medieval village in an absolutely exclusive part of Tuscany. In the early sixties the last family left the place as was usual at that time in order to find their luck in the big cities. It was almost entirely renovated after years of abandonment and neglect. The apartment has a private area for outdoor dining or sunbathing. The calm is ensured in this medieval village and the view is fantasticly beautiful on Volterra, Casole d'Elsa and the forest of Berignone. From the apartment you can see the most beautiful cities of Tuscany in a short time range: within about 40 minutes you are in Siena or Volterra, Florence takes about an hour. Groceries can be found at 4 km from the agriturismo. Next to the property there is a free, large dog. check in after 19.00: 50 euro

The Cecina river, that flows at the foot of the village, gave territorial strength to this little paradise in the province of Pisa, even though Siena was the nearest historic town (about 50 km) and Florence is only on 70 km. At 500 meters above sea level, this is a fairly isolated location, but with all the important services on a 15-20 minute drive. A dominant position, a frame softened by greenery and punctuated by gentle hills. This village is a natural balcony overlooking the authentic Tuscany; Volterra on the horizon reminds of the history and culture of a country famous all over the world. On the other side of the hill lies Rocca Sillano, fortress of the twelfth century. The most famous destinations in the region are all within easy reach. With beautiful rides on this Tuscan countryside you'll see Florence and Siena, Volterra and San Gimignano. The sea and the beaches of Punta Ala and Castiglioncello, Cecina Bibbona are less than an hour away. But also.....Just stay here. The ideal vacation to relax, to return to the rhythms that we have forgotten in daily life.
