The surrounding Drenthe countryside is perfect for long dog walks along quiet trails, scenic meadows, and serene waterways. Just a short drive away, the Boomkroonpad forest trail offers elevated walkways for both pets and owners to enjoy. Back at the park, the shared swimming pool (open May–September) provides a refreshing break after your outdoor excursions.

Explore charming nearby towns like Borger and Gasselte, where pet-friendly cafés and sunny terraces serve up Dutch favorites. The outdoor swimming pool is open from early May to mid-September, subject to change due to weather conditions. During the months that the swimming pool is closed, from mid-September to early May, you can use the swimming paradise at Holiday Park Hunzedal. This park is 15 minutes away by car. Due to maintenance work, the recreational pool at Holiday Park Hunzedal will be closed from Monday 8 January to Friday 26 January 2024.
