From nearby Sædding Beach, a path runs for a long stretch toward Hjerting, offering great opportunities for a walk or run along the water. You can also simply sit by the sea and watch large ships pass by or enjoy the beautiful colours of the sunset. Seals can occasionally be spotted in this area.
The sculpture “Man Meets the Sea” is also located at Sædding Beach – four white giants gazing out over the sea, created by sculptor Svend Wiig Hansen – and is well worth a visit.
The house is 7 km from Esbjerg, Denmark’s fifth-largest city. The city has a very long pedestrian street with many speciality shops if you feel like shopping. It is about 40 km to Ribe and the popular Ribe Viking Center.
