Once the capital of the potato, Loctudy became the capital of tourism for the Bigouden region with its rich in maritime tradition. Its history is preserved in the Kérazan castle walls, now a museum. Loctudy is France's largest lobster fishing port. It is also a charming seaside resort where you can stroll by the river and along the beach, enjoying the delicious shellfish and seafood. The port of Lesconil is typically 'Bigouden' and certainly worth a visit. A little further along is Pont-l'Abbé. This traditional Breton town is famed for its folklore costumes and hats and is located, with its many shipyards, right on the Atlantic Ocean. True windsurfers will discover a real paradise to the west of Pont-l'Abbé, at Pointe de la Torche.
