The area offers several nice hiking opportunities all year round, with both short and longer mountain walks in beautiful surroundings. For those who want to try their fishing luck, there are fishing opportunities in both rivers and lakes. If you want more speed and fun, Hafjell is a perfect place for biking. Hafjell Bike Park offers several trails with varying degrees of difficulty, as well as bike school and bike rental. In winter there are cross-country ski trails almost right outside the door, as well as an alpine center close by. For more activities and experiences, it is a short distance to Lillehammer which offers shops, restaurants and museums. Maihaugen museum is worth a visit. It is also a short distance to the family park Hunderfossen, as well as Lilleputthammer which is a nice park for the youngest.
