Beautiful, isolated private alm house with a lot of peace and privacy. There's only one more inhabited house higher up in the valley; the house enjoys a quiet and beautiful location and is located on a (well-maintained) unpaved mountain road. The house has wood-panelled walls (larch) both inside and outside, but it is also renovated and modernised. The character of the house has been preserved, despite a new kitchen, 2 tiled bathrooms and an authentic "kachelofen" in the middle of the large living room. One bag of wood for the stove is already included, but for a campfire outside you'll have to get your own wood from the forest! There's no refridgerator. You can keep your groceries cool in the basement of the house. All bedrooms are upstairs and the room at garden level is not in use. Hiking trails of course start right from the front door. An absolutely perfect house for total relaxation. Good to know: The house is self-sufficient. This means that it uses solar panels with batteries, a septic tank, gas bottles and a well. Because the house is located in the middle of nature and has its own well and reservoir, it's important to be careful with water during drier periods. It has happened that people ended up without water during their stay. You also need to be careful with electricity, certainly during periods with less sunshine. This is the reason there's no fridge, washing machine and electric coffee machine in the house. The owner will contact you after booking about the extra costs that need to paid in advance, like the deposit and the tourist tax.
