The region around Bork is genuine Viking country. With its calm, sheltered harbour at the innermost part of Ringkøbing Fjord, it is easy to understand why the wild ancestors of today s mild-mannered Danes favoured this area. Denmark s largest inland beach is located to one side of this region, while the other side is home to one of the nation s most fascinating bird sanctuaries. Popular activities include surfing, fishing, sailing in a Viking ship and, of course, enjoying the many delights of the North Sea coastline. Other regional attractions include Givskud Zoo and Safari Park, the Sealarium at Esbjerg and, of course, Legoland.
